PRAECEPTOR is a 10-month Trainers’ Course in NLP and Leadership. It is designed for trainers and all people dealing with making presentations, conducting meetings and conferences.

Our aim is to create a fully professional and self-reliant coach equipped with a  broad knowledge of andragogy, acting techniques and methods of ethical persuasion and motivation.  Here you will get a new, prestigious and profitable occupation: you will become a professional coach.

The learning process involves 10 meetings, organized every month for 2 or 3 days as well as numerous homework tasks done between the meetings. The course ends with a practice exam.

What’s in a name?

PRAECEPTOR is a Latin word meaning "one who gives instructions" and "extraordinary teacher". Great historical figures who played a crucial role in educating their nations were sometimes called "praeceptors" of those nations. A coach should be an extraordinary professional, while the PRAECEPTOR graduate - extraordinary trainer.
PRAECEPTOR stemmed from our fascination with the job of a coach and the ability to have a  good influence on yourself and others. But there was also an irritation that the training market is full of bunglers. A COACH is an exceptional person who makes others change their lives - a COACH is the PRAECEPTOR, not just a teacher or PowerPoint presenter. Still, there are lots of them nowadays preparing boring pseudo-trainings.

58% of our graduates launched their own training businesses. Since the first edition of PRAECEPTOR (in 2004/2005 - and we’re starting 10th edition in November 2010) our students have been changing the training market in Poland trying to raise the standards and, what is  most important, changing the companies they work for.       

Who are the people coming to PRAECEPTOR?

We invite those with at least B.A. diploma (but the exceptions are negotiable and possible) and eagerness to work with people.
•    managers
•    people organizing and conducting trainings
•    people responsible for presentations, meetings and conferences
•    people preparing to take up the above responsibilities

We do not require any experience in training; the syllabus is designed in such a way that the knowledge and skills are presented from basic to advanced level. Thus it is beneficial for the novice as well as more experienced trainers who want to systematize and revise their knowledge.

So far our students have:
•    presented numerous walks of life (trade, service, pharmacy, banking, agencies, etc.)
•    come from all regions of Poland
•    had various education (from management and psychology to law, economy, philologies, to medicine, philosophy and theology)
•    been of different age groups (the age difference between our youngest and oldest graduate is more than 30 years!)

Our graduates work for training companies, institutions and agencies, banks, HR departments for big corporations; some are freelancers. Many of them use the skills gained with us in PRAECEPTOR to work on positions connected with HR management or marketing.
